A good director makes sure that everything in the frame of the picture support the vision. The lighting, the sound, what's in the frame and what's left out, the words, the expressions of the actors, all work together. Good authors also control the reader's experience with their choice of words, what they choose to describe, and what they leave to your imagination.

Experience Design is multi-disciplinary. It requires strong writing, good art direction, and most importantly, the ability to listen and process ideas. Many experience designers have eclectic backgrounds and broad experiences upon which to draw.
